what is myotherapy
Myotherapy is a hands-on therapy that mainly focuses on muscular pain and soft tissue injuries, from muscle spasms, sprains and strains to headaches and other chronic pain syndromes such as fibromyalgia.
Myotherapists have a strong focus on assessment and treatment, and we provide the most evidence-based therapeutic functional movement assessment and rehabilitation out there for any musculoskeletal dysfunction and pain. This involves the extensive evaluation of any affected muscles, joints and nerves.
As myotherapists we spend a lot of time doing the hands-on hard work loosening up the muscle spasms, which are often disregarded by many therapists (usually because it’s too hard work). For example, treatments can include myofascial release, trigger point therapy and deep tissue massage. If you are looking for a treatment that really works, then don’t wait and come see our talented team.

Your First Appointment
During your initial consultation, we discuss, assess and identify your main complaint/s through physical assessment. The aim of the session is to evaluate the condition of muscle tissue and by palpation (touch) we can assess which form of techniques responds better to reset the tissue back towards its natural state.
We talk you through our treatment objectives making sure you’re comfortable and we may provide first treatments such as deep tissue massage, dry needling, trigger point therapy, myofascial release, stretching, strapping, corrective exercise and rehabilitation.
You may only need 2-4 treatments however depending on the injury and your lifestyle more treatment and management may be recommended.
